Every sound here is built from real flap cycles: a few hundred of them, cut from seven public-domain recordings and re-timed, re-pitched and re-shaped by the controls. Want a file instead? The free sound library has every specimen ready to download. The yellow line under the sonogram is gas pressure; whenever it dips below the red threshold the cycles stop, which is where the sputtering comes from. Your sounds are never recorded or uploaded; the lab only counts anonymous usage, such as visits and which controls get used, with no cookies.
